Stronger Together: Elevating Your Lab’s Success

DI Digest – Q3 2025

By Eric Dingfelder, President & CEO

At Data Innovations, partnership is more than a promise—it’s a practice rooted in every solution we deliver and every relationship we build. With decades of experience in the clinical lab space, we understand the unique challenges laboratories face, from staffing shortages and compliance demands to inefficient workflows. Our mission is to help clinical labs work smarter, not harder, by providing products and services that drive both productivity and quality patient care.

Instrument Manager™ stands at the heart of our offerings, empowering labs to take control of patient care through flexible connectivity and interoperability across any LIS or instrument. Yet our commitment goes further: we partner with labs to tackle everyday obstacles—leveraging innovative technology and expert support to address issues like unexpected downtime, evolving quality standards, and demanding regulatory requirements.

User Groups: Education, Training, and Community

True partnership thrives on ongoing communication, education, and support. That’s why our User Groups are so valuable—they’re a forum for sharing strategies, learning new skills, and building connections.

At our recent in-person User Group in Boston, participants explored everything from configuring drivers and automating quality processes to hands-on rules writing in our Instrument Manager class. By bringing our customers together, we also gain the opportunity to get to know you better and understand your current challenges. Looking ahead, our Virtual User Group in November will offer even more opportunities for education and engagement. Stay tuned for details!

A Call to Upgrade: Ensuring Security and Support

As your partner in lab operations, we place your lab’s security and efficiency at the forefront. We continuously update our software with the latest cybersecurity protocols and productivity enhancements to keep your lab protected and performing at its best.

With Instrument Manager v8.16.20 and earlier versions reaching End of Life on January 1, 2026, we strongly encourage all customers running these older versions to upgrade. After this date, everyday support for these legacy versions will end, so upgrading ensures you’ll continue to receive the technical support and security your lab needs. Visit our IM Upgrade Resources page for guidance and tools for making the transition.

Planning Ahead: Preparing for Success in 2026

As we approach the final quarter of 2025, now is the perfect time to plan for the year ahead. Consider: Is your lab operating as efficiently and productively as possible? Could custom autoverification workflows streamline your processes? Are you planning to add any new instruments? Could your lab leverage more of the capabilities of Instrument Manager?

Our training programs offer a range of courses designed to help you master IM software. These training courses empower laboratorians to use Instrument Manager more effectively to achieve improved productivity and patient care. Meanwhile, our professional services are designed to supplement your staffing resources with DI expertise to maximize your lab’s performance. Whether it’s by leveraging training or harnessing the help of our laboratory consultants, your DI account team can help you plan how to achieve more in the coming year.

At Data Innovations, partnership is not just a theme—it’s our commitment to helping your lab thrive. By working together, we can ensure your lab is prepared to tackle the challenges of today and tomorrow while elevating your lab to new heights of success.
